Sir John Cass Foundation & Red Coat School, London

A new development of Sir John Cass Foundation and Red Coat School in Tower Hamlets, London E1, to include upgrade of existing buildings as well as new build elements.
The project was carried out by Bouygues UK & Eaga Contracts (now Carillion) as part of the Tower Hamlets BSF programme and featured a striking multicoloured tiled design to the exterior elevations of the school buildings.
Elite Tiling Ltd carried out the complete exterior tiling installation of over 1100m2, laid in a specific brickbond pattern, to all elevations and carried out at high level up to 5 storeys, providing a continuous tiled finish to the full South Elevation, the new Performing Arts extension and to the new School Entrance on Stepney Way.
All tiles were manufactured & supplied by Johnson Tiles specifically for this bespoke design and were installed using Norcros Adhesives & grout directly to a rendered Sto-Mineral wall insulation system.
Elite Tiling also installed mastic movement joints and finishing as part of our contracted works.

Exterior Wall Tiles: 250 x 125 Glazed vitrified ceramic

Over 1100m2 of wall tiling completed to all elevations.
